Sports, Googlers

So I'm glad the Yankees finally lost and will not be in the World Series. I personally would have liked to see the Astros though, to see Clemens pitch against his former team who hasn't been to a world series since he led them there in 1986.

If its Saturday at 12 pm Eastern time or later and you are reading this, you need to turn on the TV and watch Purdue destroy Michigan. It should be a heck of a game.

On to the googlers now. This just amazes me the more I think about it. I think I mentioned before how the two guys who founded Google some 6 or 7 years ago are now billionaires. Thanks to their IPO a little bit ago, these guys who are in their early thirties are worth about 6 billion a piece, and hundreds of google employees or "googlers" as they are called turned into millionaires over night. I guess thats the disadvantage I have with working for a huge company thats been around forever. I've heard the same thing that former Janitor's of Wal-Mart and Microsoft who took part in the stock options are all millionaires now. Talk about having luck to be part of a young company like those that turn out to be huge enterprises.
