Windows XP Service Pack 2

To those of you who are using Windows XP, I recommend reading this before installing the most recent update. Service Pack 2 has been released for several weeks now, but its only been available on automatic update for about one week. I have installed on 2 different computers with mixed results. It seems that when putting it on my existing completely patched machine causes problems such as Norton Anti-Virus not working, and not being able to see/configure my network connections. However, I reformatted my laptop and put it on and didn't have any problems when doing all updates through automatic updates. It runs great on that machine and haven't had any problems since.

So why am I writing about this? Just wanted to warn you that you may want to hold off installing service pack 2 until they fix some of the bugs that are with it. At least in my case I immediately uninstalled it from my machine after finding out what I mentioned earlier. ON the other hand though, it still is great on my laptop, but that was after a clean install of Windows.

If you decide to install it and have problems let me know. I may discount my rates since you're probably a friend if you're reading this ;-)
