Productive Saturday
Well today I actually got a lot done. Not that I have much to do, but I was able to do a lot of little things I've been meaning to work on. I was hoping to get my cat today, but that didn't happen unfortunately. The shelter still hasn't called me back to say I was approved or not for adoption. I imagine I'll hear from them on Monday, so I'll probably end up waiting another week before I get it then.

Weekend
Well its another week come and gone once again. Already the end of July. Seems hard to believe that classes start soon. Starting the first week of September, I will be a college student once again. That is, if Michigan decides that I am a Michigan resident (which they currently don't even though i've lived and worked here for the past 14 months). Out of state tuition is too expensive otherwise.
Lots of my friends have their birthday in the next few days, so Happy Birthday to ALL of you.

Navy Blue or Black
Have you ever gotten to work and realized you aren't wearing what you thought you were? Today I got to work and realized I was wearing navy blue pants. Black shoes, black belt and a khaki and black striped shirt. I had a meeting starting at 8 so I couldn't go home and change, and no place was open to buy a new one. So I was stuck looking like a goofball all day. Not a huge deal, but still kinda funny. What a day.

Maybe a cat...
Well I submitted my app to adopt a cat from a shelter yesterday and so I called today to check on it. Turns out the people at PetSmart never faxed it to them so I had to go back and do it again. Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow whether or not I was approved. I'm looking forward to having something to come home to.
On another note, I was registering for my classes this fall online tonight, and got a rude awakening when I looked at the price. The site is trying to tell me its almost $1,000 per credit hour!!! When I looked at the prices before it was closer to $400. I'm not sure what is going on, but if its that expensive I don't know that I'm going to be able to do it since work won't pay for more than 2 classes at that cost.

Here kitty kitty
Well it looks like I may have a cat soon. I've went to the shelter the last two days and looked at them, and today filled out an application to adpot. This is a big deal for me, I've never had a pet for very long before, and never one of my own at all.
I want to get a kitten, but I can't since it will have to be left alone right off the bat for a bit while i'm working, so I'm looking at getting one about 6-12 months old.
I figure now is as good of a time as any. I'm in orientation at work for 4 weeks right now and so I'm home everyday by 5 at the latest. This way I'll have plenty of time to get to play with it and let it get used to me and my place.
Now just gotta come up with a name.........any ideas anyone??

Song of the Day 2
"Desperately" by George Strait
"Every night it's the same
I hear you callin' my name
You're lyin' next to me
I give into your charms
You disappear in my arms
I realize it's just a dream, but
Desperately I long to feel your touch
But you left me all alone in love
And now I
Shake the sleep from my head
And try to crawl out of bed
Today is just another day
I make the coffee for one
I turn the radio on
Pretend that everything's ok, but
Desperately I long to feel your touch
But you left me all alone in love
And now I
Know there's no reason to smile
It's gonna take me awhile
'Cause I still love you desperately
Desperately I long to feel your touch
But you left me all alone in love
And now I
Watch the sun goin' down
There ain't nobody around
I feel a night in the breeze
I keep on tellin' myself
I don't need nobody else
And I can do as I please, but
Desperately I long to feel your touch
But you left me all alone in love
And now I
Desperately I long to feel your touch
But you left me all alone in love
And now
Every night it's the same
I hear you callin' my name
I still love you desperately
I still love you
I still want you
I still love you desperately"
Song of the Day
"The Impossible" by Joe Nichols
"...So don't tell me that it's over
Don't give up on you and me
Cuz there's no such thing as hopeless
If you believe:
Unsinkable ships sink
Unbreakable walls break
Sometimes the things you think would never happen, Happen just like that
Unbendable steel bends
If the fury of the wind is unstoppable
I've learned to never underestimate
The impossible"

Song of the Day
"In This Life" by Collin Raye
"For all I've been blessed with in this life,
there was an emptiness in me.
I was imprisoned by the power of gold.
With one honest touch, you set me free.
Let the world stop turning,
let the sun stop burning.
Let them tell me love's not worth going through.
If it all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart
the only dream that matters has come true;
in this life, I was loved by you.
For every mountain I have climbed,
every raging river crossed,
you were the treasure that I longed to find.
Without your love I would be lost."

Song of the Day
"Always Have, Always Will" by Blackhawk
"...I used to think that love was just for dreamers
That fate and destiny played no part
But finding you has made me a believer
That we were meant to be right from the start
Before the sun and moon and stars
Were put there in the sky
Before the mountains stood tall
Above this world so high
I loved you then, I love you now
And I'll love you until
Always have, always will..."

Song of the Day
"You Won't Ever Be Lonely" by Andy Griggs
"....For as long as I live
There will always be a place you belong
Here beside me
Heart and soul baby -- you only
And I promise you now you won't ever be lonely
It's still gonna snow and it's still gonna rain
The wind's gonna blow on a cold winter day
And I promise you now you won't ever be lonely
You're safe from the world wrapped in my arms
And I'll never let go
Baby, here's where it starts
And I promise you now you won't ever be lonely
Here's a shoulder you can cry on
And a love you can rely on
For as long as I live
There will always be a place you belong
Here beside me..."

Song of the Day
"Love of my Life" by Michael W. Smith
"...I think if i'd never met you
About all the things i'd missed
sometimes it's so hard to believe
when a love can be so strong
and faith gave me the strength
and kept me holding on
YOU are the love of my life..."

Song of the Day
Here Without You by Three Doors Down
"....All the miles that separate
Disappear now when I'm dreamin' of your face
I'm here without you baby
But you're still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I'm here without you baby
But you're still with me in my dreams
And tonight, there's only you and me."

Song of the Day
Lots of songs seem to make me think right now. Here's the one for today:
“Let’s Be Us Again” by Lonestar
Tell me what I have to do tonight
Cause I’d do anything to make it right
Let’s be us again
Sorry for the way I lost my head
I don’t know why I said the things I said
Let’s be us again
Here I stand,
With everything to lose and all I know is I don’t wanna ever see the end
Baby please I’m reaching out for you
Won’t you open up your heart and let me come back in
Let’s be us again
Look at me, I’m way past pride
Isn’t there some way that we can try to be us again
Even if it takes awhile ill wait right here until I see that smile
That says we re us again...
