Summer

So today is the first "official" day of summer, and therefore the longest day of the year. It's actually kind of depressing though, because after today, everyday will keep getting just a little shorter (as far as sunlight) until about this time in December.

So get outside and enjoy the sun before it's too late.

Are you waiting until the last day of summer to update this 'clog' again?

Constructors not allowed a return type

So if you're using Microsoft Visual Studio and programming C++, and see the generic error "constructors not allowed a return type", (and your constructor isn't returning anything) make sure you have a ; at the end of your class definition before pulling your hair out.

That's why I'm bald.

600

600. Not normally considered THAT large of a number. When you put "home runs" after it however, that changes. Last night, Ken Griffey Jr. became the 6th player in major league history to hit that number. (He really should be the 4th since the last two were because of steroids, but that's another issue).

With all of the injury plagued seasons that Griffey's had, I was very glad to see him reach the milestone. griffey460june10.jpg

Hat's off to one of the classiest and best players in baseball history.

Old Man

Last month was already my 5-year anniversary from graduating college. Today is officially my five year anniversary of entering the "real world". Granted, I'm no longer with the same company (thankfully), but it's hard to believe it's been that long already.

The sad thing is, I realized this weekend that I haven't had a summer off (without at least part-time work) in 12 years already, and I'm a LONG way from retirement. Damn, I'm getting old...
