Resignation Letter
This is hilarious, an angry network administrators resignation letter:
http://www.allowe.com/Humor/book/World%20Class%20Resignation.htm
I have no clue if it is real or not (I'm guessing not), but it is funny none-the-less.
Smelly Dog?
Do you have a dog that farts a lot? There is a product out there just for you!
...the Dogone thong is the "comfortable and least intrusive means for deodorizing gassy discharges", and you know you can trust it because it comes from the #1 name in flatulence odor control products.
The picture says it all:

Cool illusion
I just thought this site had a neat illusion that shows the brain doesn't know what the hell is going on.

Just what I need for that long commute
Why can't they do this in America? Probably because they would turn into more than massage parlors here, if you know what I mean.
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) -- Stressed out during a long drive? Road hogs driving you up the wall? The Malaysian government is only too happy to help. The country's first highway drive-in massage center opened Monday, with the aim of reducing accidents by easing tense muscles of stressed-out drivers. The parlors will be equipped with automatic massage chairs.

Who says Asian people are short?
Apparently there is at least one tall Asian person other than Yao Ming. Perhaps it is his sister? Regardless, she is 2.36 meters tall (which for you people not good with numbers is about 7'9" I believe).

Not much
Usually I run into some interesting news article to share, or something funny I want to talk about. Lately there hasn't been any of that, so I haven't blogged in a while. I am still here, just at a loss for words at the moment.

Fight much?
Some couples apparently just shouldn't get married:
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - A Mexican couple were recovering separately after a marital spat got out of control and saw them firing guns, throwing knives and hurling homemade bombs, Mexican daily Milenio said on Monday. ...Juan Espinosa and Irma Contreras fought until their house blew up in a homemade gasoline bomb explosion...

Cheeburger Cheeburger
Last night we went to a great restaurant called "Cheeburger Cheeburger". Its a national chain, but the only one in the midwest other than Chicago happens to be in Livonia. As you might guess, they are famous for their burgers. Their specialty is a 20 oz. pre-cooked weight burger (so 1 lb. after cooking). They have this whole wall where people who finish the burger get their picture taken with a giant foam burger and they put it up on the wall, and announce it to the entire restaurant.
If you go there, look for my picture.

Trunk Monkeys
Need a good laugh? I have never heard of these before, but an automotive group actually ran these commercials in their region. Supposedly they were banned from TV though. Pretty funny. There are several links to them below, or just search google video for "trunk monkey".

What kind of person are you? (by how you sleep)
Here is an interesting article on personality based on sleep position.
# The Foetus: Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position.
# Log (15%): Lying on your side with both arms down by your side. These sleepers are easy going, social people who like being part of the in-crowd, and who are trusting of strangers. However, they may be gullible.
# The yearner (13%): People who sleep on their side with both arms out in front are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely ever to change it.
# Soldier (8%): Lying on your back with both arms pinned to your sides. People who sleep in this position are generally quiet and reserved. They don't like a fuss, but set themselves and others high standards.
# Freefall (7%): Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and don't like criticism, or extreme situations.
# Starfish (5%): Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don't like to be the centre of attention.
Lazy Thugs?
Are gang bangers and thugs really getting this lazy, or just catching up on the times and getting up to date with technology? Are they really that stupid as to get caught confessing online?
Across the nation, street gangs have taken their neighborhood feuds, colors and rituals online. Hermanson eventually found chat-room conversations that helped secure two convictions in the drive-by case.

Sad Individual
I'm a sad little man. I have to cheat in games to feel good. Not really. I actually only cheat in one. A game called "Text Twist". I was getting pissed off at some of the words they have in there, so being the huge nerd that I am I wrote a program that will give every possible combination of letters you input, and then it will generate a script that will send those words to the screen one by one. Using this, I can now conquer Text Twist and get all of the words almost every time (sometimes there are about 13,000 combinations, so it doesn't quite finish in the 2 minutes time).
The program is available under downloads to the left. Here is your warning that I am not responsible for anything this thing does or doesn't do when you use it. If you are just on the windows desktop for example when you launch the script, it will open all sorts of programs and probably make your PC blow up. You have been warned.
Comments
Well..... I took your warning, but tried it anyway. I was waiting for all these great things to happen and send me into the Text Twist Hall of Fame, but it wouldn't open for me. I got the error "Application failed to initialize properly" Must mean my coumputer can't handle your complex coding.

Strange Google Links
The other day while I was procrastinating from doing things I should have been, I found several interesting google links I have never seen before...
http://www.google.com/intl/xx-hacker/why_use.html
http://www.google.com/intl/xx-hacker/
This one is strange, everything is in "hacker speak", and all the links work and keep that same encoding of the words...
http://www.google.com/3.html
This one is just old. It makes reference to indexing 3 billion pages. Rumor has it they are way passed that number.
http://www.google.com/lucky.html
Reminiscent of the old google, I'm not really sure what this one is.
http://www.google.com/default.reg
http://www.google.com/google_rsearch.reg
These two are just strange because they are registry files for internet explorer settings. I wouldn't expect to see that in the google root directory.
http://www.google.com/ig/currentcomm/current_links_module.html
This one is only interesting because of the reference to the online file backup account...
http://www.google.com/ig/current
This is funny because this looks like their new customized home page...
http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=km&tab=di&ie=UTF-8
This is another interesting encoding of the google page
http://www.google.com/sitemap.xml
Maybe this isn't a big deal, but I was surprised to see this xml sitemap in their root.
http://www.google.com/mozilla/google.xul2
I have never seen this before, so I thought it was strange. Looks like it is for a mobile device or something...
http://www.google.com/ie_rsearch.html
This one looks like what shows up in the IE sidebar at times. Maybe thats what the above one was for too?
http://code.google.com/webstats/2005-12/elements.html
If you like numbers, I just thought this was an interesting break-down of the pages they index and elements of those pages.
http://www.google.com/moms/
http://www.google.com/moms01/
http://www.google.com/googlefriends/may1998.html
http://www.google.com/translate_t
http://www.google.com/googleviewer/loading.html
http://www.google.com/ig/resetprefs.html
These don't really do anything, just interesting or strange pages I found.
---UPDATE----
Several people asked how I found these sites. Basically it came down to being bored (and procrastinating doing actual work) and just googling google. Something like this, or this, but in modified and varied versions.

Nice found!!
The Google Gulp thing was an April Fool's joke.
About the 3 billion pages indexed, look at the bottom of the page, copyright 2001. Probably just an old page...
with http://www.google.com/ig/current
there was news a while ago that google are allowing companies to make customized versions of the personalized home page for use by customers and employees
This is nothing more than a hosted home page for the employees/customers of http://www.currentgroup.com/ (an ISP specializing in BoPL)
Yarrgh! the 1337 5P34|Yarrgh! the 1337 5P34|

nice list but here's another cool one:
googlex.jayssite.com
it's just a cool variation of google. it works basically the same
Great List!
Is there a link between "Current Communications"

considering the similar Icons?
Lovely stuff! How did you find it all?
This officially seals the deal... you are a nerd!
Do you know all these other nerds that are commenting on your entry, or did they just randomly find your site while searching for "interesting break-down of the page index"?
Later!

If you notice on the language preferences page, they also offer klingon.
Note: I have never watched Star Trek.

http://www.google.com/mozilla/google.xul2
Works fully in Mozilla Seamonkey which is the replacement for the old mozilla browser suite browser.
How can i use it in a Seamonkey sidebar?
Get Seamonkey
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey
Just a note, the .xul2 file is actually a sidebar for the old mozilla suite browser. It might still work in firefox, but the integrated search in the toolbar is much more convenient...
Where and how did you find these links?

I'm shocked... (not really)
Here it is again...
Shawn Cates killed a woman, authorities said, crossing the center line on Dequindre last Thursday and smashing head-on into a car driven by a 55-year-old mother of three. And his cell phone is at least partly to blame, they said.

How the hell does that work? Are they only blinking or something? When I followed it, they were all pink...If I looked just in the middle, the rotating one turned green, and if I really concentrated on the center, all the pink went away.
I want to know what the hell is going on here. How does that work?
