Sirius

Sirius satellite radio is awesome. Their support center however, sucks big time. I spent almost an hour on the phone on Friday trying to get a new radio to replace mine as my subscription expires today. Instead, nothing got accomplished and I ended up cancelling my subscription because they pissed me off so bad. So today on my way home I decided I'd try again, and one guy in 5 minutes fixed what two people and nearly an hour couldn't on Friday. I told the guy he deserves a promotion for that. I guess you just have to keep calling until you get a hold of the correct person. It still shouldn't be that difficult though...

It feels good

It feels good to be done with class. It'd feel better if I was done permanently, but being done until after Labor day is a good start. For the next 6 weeks, I don't have to worry about anything when I get home from work other than the normal bills, etc. And to make things even better, the weather is gorgeous and is supposed to be all weekend, and tomorrow I get to see my girl finally. What more could a guy ask for?

Nice, Very Niiiiiiice

Today is my last day of class for 6 weeks! Very exciting. Its not so much that I mind class, its good to keep learning about stuff related to what I do....I just don't like the extra work. Once my final is over this evening, its party time. Actually, it'll just be me and Mico partyin in front of the TV. But at least I won't be thinking that I should be doing something else. Thats what I'm looking forward to.

Less sleep?

Apparently I enjoyed sleeping in a little too much this weekend. I didn't sleep in that late, (about 9), but I've been more tired the last two mornings than I have been in the last couples weeks while I was getting less sleep. Maybe less really is more?

Productive

Well it was definitely a productive weekend. It had to be if I want to do well in this class, which obviously I do so I can continue with other classes and get the heck out of school. Its good to be busy and feel like I'm actually accomplishing things for a change. I am still looking forward to being done with school for a little while on Wednesday after my final however. Only a couple more days. The upcoming weekend is some good motivation to get through it.

Getting Close

Well its finally Friday. That means that only a few days are left of this semester of class, and that I have to get everything done in that period. The end is in sight, I just have to make it there in one piece without flipping out, and do well. I have good motivation though, since my prize is getting to see a certain someone one week from today.

Stressed

Ever wake up and realize that there's no way it's going to be a good day? In fact, I KNOW its going to be a horrible, long, crappy day. Talk about depressing. And on top of that to have lots of crap to get done, and not enough time to do it. I have to give a presentation to the CIO today, plus other crap to get done at work that won't get done today, I have a long homework assignment due soon, a semester project and all the documentation to go with it, and a final coming up. Actually, maybe thats part of why its going to be a bad day (or bad/long next few days). Geez, its a good thing nobody reads this damn thing, all I do is bitch anymore. I guess better doing it by typing than talking, since nobody is really up this time of day anyway. I need a vacation.

"How do you eat an elephant???" Ever heard that one?
The answer is "one bite at a time" You'll get all your stuff done!
Hope you had a good day and the presentation went well.
Later,

Lost for words

Not sure what to say today. A lot is going on, just trying to chip away at things and keep it managable. Caffeine is my friend.

Weekend

What a weekend. Saturday was duel bachelor party day. Talk about a long day, but we all had a good time (even though not everyone remembers having a good time, ha). Back to the grind tomorrow, its going to be a long 10 days here, but there is light at the end of the tunnel...

Random

My parents have been telling me its hot and dry out near St. Louis, but I'm sure their water bill is nothing like this.

What will they come up with next for pets? Maybe I need one of those for Mico...

For those of you who don't share your ice-cream well, and have roommates that tend to eat it, you may want one of these.

Its Friday. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the recent comment. I like the idea of pet-cams, but I don't think it's really that necessary for lazy cats who sleep all day. Hope things are going well for you...keep in touch.

Gettin Stressed?

I don't usually get stressed. For some reason I am right now though. Maybe its because I still have 2/3 of my grade to go and less than 2 weeks of class left? Maybe its because work has been frustrating lately? Maybe its because I've been so busy in the last 2 weeks I've only gotten to work out a handful of times?

Come to think of it, the last one makes sense. Since working out is my stress relief, and things have been so busy I haven't been able to as much, that would explain it. Maybe...

New Car

I'm starting to get antsy. With gas prices bouncing between $2.25 and $2.50, its getting expensive to fill my truck up with gas. Actually, this morning was the most expensive tank I've ever purchased at just under $51.00. I think it may be time for something new to drive. The only question is what? Anybody have any ideas? I'm looking for something reasonably priced that gets gas mileage >= 25 mpg. Advice is appreciated, as I am stuck. I was thinking about getting the Zephyr when that comes out, but its out of my price range. The Milan looks nice, but wouldn't save me much money compared to now unless I get one without all the options I want. All that leaves is the Focus or something used. Maybe I should just start riding my bike to work?

I like to complain about gas prices. I think there is more reason to complain now then the last several times I have, where gas was only $2.49. It wasn't that long ago I was complaining about gas being as low as $2.25, and now I wish it was only $49 to... [Read More]

Didn't you take that class as a senior in high school that the object was to get that car to get like 10,000 mpg? Just use some of that logic and make a few "mods" to the ole' F150....SOLVED!

Oh happy day

Today is going to be a good day. I know that because I am no longer doing the crap work I have been doing for the last 5 or 6 weeks at work. Somebody else is solely responsible for it now :-) I'll finally get to use my brain again and do some real problem-solving work. Who knows, maybe now I'll actually leave work feeling like I accomplished something...

School Project, Weekends

I just realized this morning, that it is nearly 2 months (Labor day weekend) before my next long weekend. That is depressing, but as busy as I'll be in that 2 months, it will go fast I'm sure.

I could use an extra long weekend this coming weekend to help me get my project done for school. Hopefully this week I'll be able to get a lot done after work each day, otherwise I may be forced to take a day to finish it...

16 days and counting until my summer vacation from school.

Are you kidding me?

I just got back from running a couple errands on my lunch. As I was driving by the gas station here, I noticed that it is up to 2.499 a gallon for regular 87 octane!!!! That is absolutely insane. It drives me nuts that things such as hurricanes, the london bomb attacks, etc have such an impact on both the stocket market, and commodities such as oil. I have never seen gas that high in my life. And supposedly its going to keep going up this month...

Love

You know you love someone when you feel bad and can't think about anything else because you know something is wrong with them that you can't do anything about. Sometimes you can just feel that something is wrong without even talking to them, and that feels worse not knowing. I hope everything's ok...

Sunny Morning

What a beautiful day outside. Not a cloud in the sky as I watched the sun rise on my way to work this morning. Only a couple things could make this day better than it is. One would be if I was doing something that actually used my abilities at work. Another would be if I was done with my school project so I could stop worrying about it. And last but definitely not least, if a certain someone who lives in Indy was here with me. Now that would be a great day. Until all of these things happen, things will just be good.

Much Better

Things feel normal again today. Yesterday was just one of those days where nothing goes right and nothing feels right. I think I was on the right track though, saying I don't have anything to complain about. So life is tough. Its not supposed to be easy, and nobody ever said it was going to be. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and going through the hard times is what gives you the character that makes you who you are. In other words, I guess I'm better off for having gone through days like yesterday, and it just reminds me how lucky I really am, even though it doesn't seem that way sometimes.

What is going on?

Ever have days where you just wonder what you're doing with your life? I feel like I have them too often lately. Its hard going to work everyday, and I don't really enjoy school like I thought I would. Nothing I do seems like it has a purpose or meaning. I have no friends in Michigan other than co-workers, yet I am planning on staying here for 2-3 years to finish school? Life is too short to feel this way at my age already. How do you fix it though?

At least thanks to somebody, I won't have to go through it alone anymore soon. As long as she keeps me around that is.

Really though, I guess I shouldn't have anything to complain about. I have a decent job that pays the bills, a family 500 miles or more away, good friends 170 miles or more away, and an awesome girlfriend 300 miles away. Maybe that should tell me something about where I'm at. I guess what it comes down to, is hoping these things I'm doing now will payoff in the long run, but I want instant gratification rather than delayed.

That being said, the lottery is up to 73 million, so time to buy some tickets and hope...

So did you win anything in the lottery? Don't be holding out on me. I noticed that you said your good friends are only 170 miles away and nothing about being 500 miles away in Evansvegas.
I know where you live...no, no I don't. But, you know where I live some come share the wealth.
